>> In this module,
00:00
we're going to discuss RMD, Reach My Device.
00:00
With Reach My Device,
00:00
we can connect based on the host name.
00:00
There is a validation token associated with that,
00:00
and then we have a link that
00:00
allows you to connect to your device.
00:00
We're able to go from
00:00
the user's workstation through the Retry Device Portal,
00:00
through the NAT Device,
00:00
and then get to your SMB.
00:00
Reach My Device uses
00:00
an encrypted SSH tunnel for management.
00:00
This service is provided by checkpoint to its customers,
00:00
and allows them to easily access a gateway behind NAT,
00:00
providing SHELL and WebUI access.
00:00
You can see here an example of that external link.
00:00
Setting it up is easy.
00:00
We'll go to device, that system,
00:00
then to the DDNS and device access.
00:00
On the Reach My Device, click "Register".
00:00
Tap your host name or use the default one,
00:00
and you will need to specify
00:00
your dynamic DNS service registration right here.
00:00
Finally, hit "Apply".
00:00
Do not forget to allow
00:00
administrator to access from the Internet.
00:00
Let's see how we can configure that.
00:00
I'm going to go to Device, DDNS.
00:00
Now, I'll need to hit the "Register".
00:00
It's going to generate a unique host name for me.
00:00
I'm going to hit "Apply". Now,
00:00
I'm currently disconnected,
00:00
but this is going to be my unique host name,
00:00
and these are the links for the WebUI and for the CLI.
00:00
Now, before I can use that,
00:00
I need to go ahead and select a DDNS so we can
00:00
see the support for no IP.com or DynDNS,
00:00
add the username, password,
00:00
and your unique host name,
00:00
don't forget to hit "Apply", and you're good to go.
00:00
This concludes the Reach My Device module.
