Okay, let's go ahead and wrap up. Model one review
In Model one. We had quite a bit to talk about.
The very first thing we went over is the basics of networking.
We define some terms like hosts, nodes, clients and servers and the term systems as a whole.
We define why we network and some of the various elements that are required to create a network.
We then looked into some frameworks, like specifically, the OSI Reference model as well as the TCP IP model.
Pay particular attention there.
Lots of OSI model questions on the exam.
Then we covered our network services,
D H C P for automatic I p address assignment DNS for name resolution and then I pan for managing I P addresses, especially in larger environments.
From there, we talked about network storage and whether we're looking to connect to a network attached storage device or send our data to in separate network
a storage area network and then some choices that we have for that high speed connectivity.
Whether it's fiber channel over Ethernet is crazy.
We talked about in thin, abandoned jumbo frames as well.
Then we discussed remote access, which gave us some information on both dial up and tunneling
module. One is going to give you a great foundation for everything that we're going to do moving forward.
Stick around for module to where we go into IP Addressing
