>> Hey there Cybrarians
00:00
>> and welcome back to
00:00
>> the Linux plus course here at Cybrary.
00:00
I'm your instructor Rob Goelz.
00:00
In today's lesson, we're going to
00:00
be moving into Module 24,
00:00
where we're going to cover
00:00
troubleshooting applications and hardware.
00:00
Upon completion of today's lesson,
00:00
you're going to be able to take on the application
00:00
in hardware troubleshooting objectives
00:00
that we're going to
00:00
need to know for the Linux plus exam and understand
00:00
how this module's lessons map to those objectives.
00:00
What will you take away from this module?
00:00
Well, you're going to understand
00:00
the types of application in
00:00
hardware issues that you're going to need
00:00
to troubleshoot when you're supporting Linux.
00:00
We're going to learn about things
00:00
like troubleshooting storage issues,
00:00
including storage integrity and looking at
00:00
working with in troubleshooting storage adapters.
00:00
We're also going to perform firewall troubleshooting.
00:00
We'll get to work more with firewalls in this module.
00:00
Then we're going to look at resolving dependency issues,
00:00
things that are related to patching,
00:00
such as updates, versioning, and libraries.
00:00
Finally, we'll use common tools
00:00
to troubleshoot hardware issues.
00:00
In this module, again, we're going to
00:00
review storage issues including
00:00
troubleshooting storage adapters and
00:00
investigating the integrity of storage.
00:00
We're going to look at how we can fix firewall issues.
00:00
Then we're going to look at parsing
00:00
permissions issues and examining
00:00
patching and update issues,
00:00
including digging into dependencies.
00:00
Next, we're going to troubleshoot hardware.
00:00
Finally, we're going to get to use
00:00
those hardware troubleshooting commands to work
00:00
with the hardware and determine what's going on.
00:00
In this lesson, we covered the application in
00:00
hardware troubleshooting objectives that
00:00
are covered on the Linux plus exam.
00:00
We talked about how the Module 24 lessons map
00:00
to those hardware and troubleshooting objectives.
00:00
Thanks so much for being here and I look
00:00
forward to seeing you in the next lesson.
