I Welcome back to module three. This is less than 3.3. Install vagrant. In this lesson, we're going to be installing two pieces of software. Well, of course are installing Magritte and in addition to that, were also installing Get with Bash.
00:14
And our primary objective for that installation is to get our hands on the bash Lenox Terminal emulator that will make working with Lennox guests and Bagram a tad easier and makes it worth it. In my opinion,
00:27
you also get the get version control software. However, in this course, we won't be using it,
00:32
uh, to any extent. But get version control is very useful. And I do recommend getting around to learning that when possible, But again, in this course, we won't be using it too much.
00:44
So we, of course, will start with the installation of Vagrant. What is vagrant again? It is configuration software for virtual box. Its primary purpose is to speed up development.
00:56
Now, with all that said, let's go ahead and get started with those installations.
01:00
All right, welcome back to my virtual host. I already have the browser sessions open that I need again these links are available in the slash O as well. So feel free to check that resource if you want to see the link. But the link isn't too bad. It's Baghlan up dot com slash downloads dot HTM. Oh,
01:19
and we need to select the appropriate host. I'm on window 64 bit, so we'll go ahead and select that option. I'm going to save it
01:29
and it should download pretty quickly. I'm gonna open the folder
01:34
again. I'm gonna right click,
01:37
and I'm just going to select install
01:44
on a
01:46
select. Next I accept the license agreement.
01:49
Next. I'm gonna leave it at the default insulation path
01:57
on next installed.
01:59
I should get a security props.
02:06
There it is. Yes.
02:09
And it's going to validate the install and proceed with the installation process.
02:15
If this takes a minutes, I will fast forward to the end.
02:21
Okay, that finished
02:23
It took a minute, but fast were doing it. Got to this box and now vagrant is installed.
02:30
We'll go ahead and hold off restarting my system for now so that I can stall get bash.
02:37
So no, I don't want to restart.
02:39
I'm gonna open up this tab which is get dash SCM dot com slash downloads
02:46
in these links are available in the Power Point presentation if you want to see exactly what the link is,
02:52
So I'm gonna select the host that I'm on Windows
02:55
Ana Marie Select to save.
03:00
Now open the folder
03:04
and it's gonna be this. Get executed. Well, someone a right click, run as administrator.
03:12
Go ahead and click. Yes, on the security prompt.
03:17
Just like next.
03:20
I'm gonna go ahead and leave the default insulation path
03:23
quick. Yes,
03:25
select
03:27
next leader. The faults select. Next.
03:30
Next,
03:34
next,
03:36
next,
03:38
next and next enables. Gail, That's good
03:44
and install.
03:46
And it shouldn't take too long. We'll go through the installation process, and then we should have all the software we need
03:54
and that insulation finished, and you should arrive at this window. I'm just gonna uncheck that I'm gonna select finish
04:01
wouldn't close everything. And if you recall,
04:05
vagrant wanted us to restart our host to complete the process. So I will simply just to start.
04:12
It's like the power icon, icon and select restart.
04:19
And that brings us to the 3.3 installed vagrants summary. So what did we do in this lesson while we installed the bag rent software
04:29
we installed to get Bash software, and that's offer is version control with a Lenox terminal emulator and our primary interest with the Lenox Terminal emulator. But it's very difficult to complain about get version control. It's very useful to use,
04:45
and that completes this lesson. I hope to see you in the next thank you bye.
