>> In this module,
00:00
we'll learn how to install
00:00
the clients in a Linux environments.
00:00
In the infinity portal,
00:00
I can see that I currently have one device,
00:00
still one we've installed in the previous video.
00:00
Now I'm going to go ahead and select,
00:00
Download Endpoint and download the Linux deployment.
00:00
While doing so, you will download a nice script.
00:00
This script can be used to install
00:00
endpoint on either Ubuntu or CentOS,
00:00
Red Hat, and et cetera.
00:00
All you need to do is to transfer
00:00
the scripts and run the installation and I'll show you.
00:00
I'm going to transfer it to my Linux machine.
00:00
This is my Linux terminal.
00:00
I'm going to verify that the file is here,
00:00
and I can see it right here, install script.
00:00
First thing I need to do is to make it executable.
00:00
Since I'm running a CentOS Linux machine,
00:00
the install script will use yum
00:00
to download all the needed RPMs.
00:00
I would like to verify that I do have yum functioning,
00:00
so I'm going to go ahead and type yum install.
00:00
I'm just going to go ahead and install
00:00
some small package like tree.
00:00
Everything works.
00:00
I can go ahead and run this script.
00:00
Running the script is very easy.
00:00
You just need to point to the script and type install.
00:00
This will take a few minutes,
00:00
so I'm going to fast forward it all.
00:00
Installation is complete.
00:00
I'm going to clear the screen and the file type,
00:00
the command CPLA info. Here we go.
00:00
I have that CPLA version that I'm running,
00:00
the operating system which I already knew,
00:00
the management server I'm connected to,
00:00
and I'm currently online.
00:00
If I'll check the infinity portal
00:00
under Computer Management,
00:00
I can see my Linux device,
00:00
the endpoint version,
00:00
the OS build, and which capabilities are enabled.
00:00
In this case, the capabilities are
00:00
anti-malware and the forensics.
00:00
I hope you enjoyed this video
00:00
and I'll see you in the next module.
