>> Welcome back to Cybrary's Linux fundamentals
00:00
for security practitioners.
00:00
I'm your instructor, Corey Holzer.
00:00
This lesson is a course review.
00:00
The lone learning objective for
00:00
this lesson is to review what the course
00:00
covered and to again provide
00:00
you with my contact information,
00:00
should you wish to ask me
00:00
a question or reach out for advice.
00:00
This course had four overarching objectives.
00:00
First, to teach you about
00:00
the origins and architecture of Linux.
00:00
Second, I wanted to get you
00:00
familiar with the command line and teach you many
00:00
of the basic commands you will need to
00:00
make Linux a productive tool for you.
00:00
Third, I wanted you to see how many of
00:00
the common tools work through demonstrations.
00:00
Lastly, the intent of
00:00
the course was to give you the chance to dive into
00:00
Linux and get your hands
00:00
dirty through the employment of labs
00:00
so that you can gain knowledge and
00:00
confidence in your use of Linux.
00:00
This course consisted of four modules.
00:00
The first provided you with
00:00
an overview before we got started.
00:00
The second provided you with
00:00
the background knowledge about
00:00
Linux and how it is architected.
00:00
The third is where we jumped into Linux.
00:00
The last one is the one we're currently in.
00:00
Here we reviewed where you can go
00:00
next to continue your Linux education,
00:00
as well as providing you with a review of the course.
00:00
In my 30 years of IT experience,
00:00
one constant I have found is that
00:00
someone out there can provide you
00:00
with insights and/or answers to the problems and
00:00
questions you're up against at any particular moment.
00:00
Therefore, if you have a problem or challenge you
00:00
cannot seem to solve and you
00:00
need to find someone who can,
00:00
at the very least, point you in the right direction,
00:00
please reach out to me.
00:00
I'm here to help you where I can.
00:00
In this lesson, we reviewed what the course covered.
00:00
I know for many of you,
00:00
this was your first endeavor into Linux.
00:00
At times you may have even found it daunting.
00:00
But I want to offer you my sincerest congratulations.
00:00
I also want to wish you the best of
00:00
fortunes as you continue to develop
00:00
your Linux knowledge or whatever area of
00:00
IT and cybersecurity knowledge you want to pursue.
00:00
Cybrary is a great resource
00:00
for a wide host of related topics.
00:00
I encourage you to
00:00
explore those opportunities of learning.
00:00
For the last time, thank you
00:00
for joining me for this course.
00:00
I look forward to helping you in
00:00
other IT and cybersecurity knowledge areas in the future.
