then we're going to make the wrong decisions

In looking at all of these domains together,

we started out with Module 1 and talked about governance.

We said senior leadership board of

directors or steering committees,

have to set the way they have to set out our objectives

our big picture strategy and

the goals and objectives that'll help

us accomplish that strategy.

They choose our frameworks.
00:00
They are responsible for determining

an enterprise risk management framework in viewpoint.

That really sets the direction of the organization.

Now, as we move from there,

we talked about risk assessment,
00:00
the process of risk assessment.
00:00
Getting a value for the risk.
00:00
Then comparing the value of the risk up
00:00
against the cost of the countermeasures.
00:00
We looked at some different processes,
00:00
nist 100-39, this state 130,
00:00
talk about RMS and the cybersecurity framework.
00:00
We looked at a lot of standards that
00:00
revolve around the ideas of risk assessment.
00:00
Really identifying your assets,
00:00
looking at threats and vulnerabilities,
00:00
figuring out where that risk exists in
00:00
determining if the amount of
00:00
risks it's there is acceptable.
00:00
If not, what is the value
00:00
of the risk that can be compared up against the cost
00:00
of a countermeasure so that we can
00:00
make a good decision which came in domain three,
00:00
where we had risk response and mitigation now,
00:00
or risk response and reporting.

We had our solutions

and in place like we talked about risk reduction,
00:00
risk transference, risk acceptance and avoidance.

Depending on the solutions and the need for mitigation,

we chose our strategies and then of course,

we reported to senior management and we

continued to monitor for risk.

Then last but not least,

we looked at information technology in

relation to risk management with our last domain.

Yes, covered a lot of information.

Now that we're done, what do we do now?

Well, here are my best recommendations.

You can't pass it if you don't take it.
