in the short lesson, I'll show you how to remove and map from the Mac OS will be using the Homebrew Package manager and a newer version of Mac OS X. This process should work great with any version of OS X that supports Homebrew.
00:16
Let's get started.
00:17
Here are the learning objectives for this lesson.
00:20
In this lesson, there's really only one objective, and that is to remove and map from a Mac.
00:26
If you followed along with me in the lab on installing and map on a Mac, this lesson will basically show you howto undo what we did In that lesson.
00:34
The main focus of this lesson is the lab.
00:38
No, into the lab.
00:40
Here are the steps that we will follow to remove and map from a Mac.
00:44
This process is very similar to removing end map from Lennox.
00:48
After opening, a terminal will basically just run to commands
00:52
and and map, and it's gooey. Zen map will be removed.
00:56
Let's do it.
00:57
Welcome to the lab on uninstalling and map and Zen map from the Mac Os.
01:03
First of all, I'm gonna go down to the launch pad and just show you that Zen map is installed,
01:11
and then we'll go ahead and go straight to the terminal.
01:15
One way to get to the terminal is by going to the launch pad,
01:19
clicking on other
01:22
Been clicking on your terminal.
01:25
Don't make this bigger, so you can see it.
01:32
All right, Now, I wanna prove to you that end map also is installed, so we'll do. Ah,
01:37
brew
01:38
search
01:40
and map
01:41
hit. Enter.
01:47
Okay. So you can see that there's a check mark next to end map and Zen map, so you know that they're both installed,
01:53
so I'm gonna clear the screen here.
01:56
So the first command to uninstall and map
02:00
really uninstalled Zen map is brew
02:04
cask
02:06
uninstall
02:07
Zen map,
02:08
then hit Enter
02:14
type in your password
02:35
process takes just a little bit of time
02:38
to remove all of the files and dependencies and service is
02:51
okay, so Zen map is uninstalled.
02:53
I can prove that by going back to the launch pad
02:58
and you see where Zen map used to be. It's no longer there.
03:06
Okay, so I'm gonna clear the screen again.
03:08
All right? Now to uninstall end map
03:12
simply type
03:13
brew,
03:14
uninstall
03:15
and Matt
03:17
then hit. Enter
03:22
and that's it.
03:23
I'll do a brew search
03:27
and map.
03:29
And before there was a check mark next to both and map ends and Matt
03:34
and you can see here there are no check marks,
03:37
so
03:38
you could be, ah, reasonably sure that it's uninstalled. I'll go ahead and try to do and map scan,
03:47
and there you have it. It doesn't work. So in map, pins and map are both uninstalled
03:53
the short lesson was about and map removal from the Mac OS.
03:58
It was a quick one because the process is just so easy.
04:00
Thanks so much for going through this lesson with me, and I'll talk to you in the next lesson.
