in this video,
00:05
we will create our first A W s account.
00:08
Then we will long into our new account.
00:14
And finally, we will activate M F A on our new account.
00:21
Finally, we're ready to create our very first A W s account.
00:26
So the process is really very straightforward. I'm just going to kind of walk through this with you so that you get an idea of how easy it is to set up. So the first thing we do, we're going to start on the page that says
00:38
aws amazon dot com free. And you will click, create a new account.
00:42
And then it's gonna ask you for your e mail address. So you populate one in their password. Also, I should tell you that there is going to be a credit card required to create this account,
00:56
and then after we put our password in,
01:00
confirmed the password,
01:07
Then we'll give the account of name
01:08
and then get continue.
01:11
And this is where we put in our contact information. I set this up as a personal account,
01:17
provide a phone number
01:23
and, of course, an address.
01:27
And here's where we put in our credit card information
01:33
And then this is the part where you AWS calls you back to verify your phone number.
01:40
So first you fill in the capture.
01:47
And when AWS calls you just
01:49
they're gonna ask you for this number that's appearing on the screen. So you just give it to him
01:55
and then they verify it and we're all good to go now
01:59
so he could continue.
02:00
We select the basic support plan.
02:08
You could choose the personalize your account.
02:10
I usually skip that part and I'll just go straight to log in for the first time.
02:20
So you just enter your email address that you provide it password sign in, and now you're in the Management council.
02:27
Now, the first thing that I like to do within the management console is set up multi factor authentication.
02:36
So it would be a good idea if you don't already have. And I always select the virtual
02:42
in the face. So
02:43
a good program for you to download Google authenticator,
02:46
which is the one that I happen to use It works really good.
02:52
So you just activate the M f A
02:54
virtual myth a device,
02:58
and then here you're going to use the Google authenticator, Thio, you'd either enter a shared key or it's easier for me to just scan the barcode that comes up. So then, once the most, the barcode
03:12
has been accepted. Then what you have to do
03:15
is
03:16
on your whatever device you're using for your authenticator. Put the code that pops up. You have to enter it in twice.
03:25
So you put one on one line and the 2nd 1 another line. And then that's how AWS verifies like, Okay, this
03:31
authentication and this key is the science of this person. So it was good to go.
03:37
Excellent.
03:38
So now we are
03:39
have our m f A set up, and now we officially
03:44
have our AWS account set up and ready to start experimenting.
03:50
I told you it was easy to see you in the next lesson.
04:43
In this video,
04:44
we created our first A W s account.
04:47
Then we logged into our new account.
04:54
And finally we activated m f A on our new account
