This test will prove that students have knowledge on how to implement vulnerability management by identifying, classifying, prioritizing, remediating, and mitigating vulnerabilities, and know how to analyze results of the scan. This skill is a key part of the Cyber Defense Analyst role and builds the ability to conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing with various tools, recognize vulnerabilities in systems, and give sound advice to leadership based on how significant the threats and vulnerabilities are.

In Kaplan’s Practice Test “CompTIA CS0-001 Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)” students will be tested on Security Architecture and Toolsets. This test will prove that students have knowledge on how to assess identity and access management (IAM) and how to secure systems, review security architecture and implement compensating controls, and participate to incorporate application security best practices on the software development life cycle (SDLC). These skills are a key part of Cyber Defense Analyst roles and build the ability to evaluate the adequacy of security designs, and how to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements.

In Kaplan’s Practice Test “CompTIA CS0-001 Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)” students will be tested on Cyber Incident Response. This test will prove that students have knowledge on how to determine the impact of an incident, prepare appropriate forensics tools, develop a communication strategy, and steps to recover from an incident. This skill is a key part of the Cyber Defense Analyst role and builds the ability to know the impact of an incident, how an incident happened, and the best way to recover from an incident.
