Exercise 1 - Configure Remote Desktop Easy Print Printer Driver
Remote Desktop Services provides support for printer redirection which forwards printing jobs from a print server to another printer attached to a client workstation or to a shared network printer. Windows Server 2012 supports RD Session Host server which use Remote Desktop Easy Print printer driver to streamline printer configuration. The Remote Desktop Easy Print Printer driver is useful if an RD Session host server does not have a printer driver that matches the printer driver on client workstations.
In this exercise, you will configure the Remote Desktop Easy Print printer driver in Windows Server 2012 R2.
Exercise 2 - Configure Print Priorities and Permissions
In this exercise, you will configure Print Priorities and Permissions.
Exercise 3 - Setup Printer Pool
In this exercise, you will configure a printer pool. A printer pool increases the printing capacity of your printers.
The printers must be of exactly the same type to be able to use this feature. The printers that are part of a printer pool must be in close proximity as there is no way to predict which printer in the pool will print the document.
Exercise 4 - Configure Enterprise Print Management
There are tools within Windows Server 2012 R2 that can be used to manage printers in your network.
You will install some of them in this exercise.
