CISCO Routing (System Engineers)
The Cisco Routing Test for system engineers is a premium Cybrary assessment created by iMocha. The exam is designed to verify the application, networking, and routing skills of a Cisco Routing System Engineer.
The Cisco Routing Test for system engineers is a 20-minute exam intended for students at the intermediate level. It focuses on topics related to Basic Wireless Security, Cisco’s OSPF Routing Protocol, Integrated Services Routers, and Cisco’s Security Device Manager (SDM) application and Catalyst Series Switch. To pass the exam, students who know electrical engineering as it applies to computer architecture such as circuit boards and computer hardware and processes will benefit from taking the exam and find it helpful. By having this knowledge upfront, Students will find that the timeframe to complete the exam is reasonable. Working through the lab will help students develop skills using virtual machines such as VMWare and network equipment applications, including but not limited to routers, switches, and servers. These skills are essential for the Enterprise Architect, Security Control Assessor, and System Administrator work roles. The test will also ensure students have knowledge of demilitarized zones, wireless technologies, and the effect router and firewall configurations have on traffic patterns and the overall network performance. These skills are important for the Security Architect, Exploitation Analyst, Mission Assessment Specialist, and the CISCO Routing Systems Engineer work roles. Completion of this lab is beneficial for students on the 50 CISO Security Controls, 12 Competencies of Effective CISO, and Network Engineer career paths.
