Hey, everyone, welcome back to the core. So in the last video, we just took a brief overview of the creating a Business continuity plan and disaster Recovery Plan lab. So again, be sure to download the guide associated with that in the resource of section of the course is gonna walk you through some of the basic step by step stuff. However these ourself got in labs in this course is I want to stress again.
00:18
So just make sure that you're looking through all the documentation available as you build on your B, C, p and G R P in that particular lab. Also, I want to make mention with that previous lab as well as this one
00:28
we'll be talking about in this video. Make sure you budget enough time to complete the labs, and we'll take you several hours in most cases to complete that first lab as well as this one here where we are just reviewing an existing B, C, P and G R p.
00:43
So again, be sure to download this document from the resource of section of the course of you haven't already, and we'll go ahead and get started. Now we are assuming in this video that you have already loved in the cyber area, which is obviously, hopefully the reason when you're watching this course and that you've also searched for here. And step three, the analyze an updated company BCP Lab.
01:02
You've gone ahead and launched it. And once you launch it, it might take a minute or so to launch, and you should be Then, at this log in screen, here
01:08
were the user name is administrator. So that should be the default there. And the password is right here in the guide. So its capital p the at symbol lower case S S W the number zero so that zero, not a capital O and then lower case R d. So let's go and just type that in here
01:29
and that will go ahead and let us log into the desktop screen.
01:34
Now you may get some promise here about the Windows license. Just say ask me later, close out any of the pop ups here. In some instances, you might get an option to restart. Just say restart later. And that should be all the pop of boxes that you get in this particular lab.
01:47
Let's go back to our guide here. What we're going to do is we're gonna open up the four Tran Technologies folder on the desk tops. You'll see that here on step number seven. And then basically, what we're going to do in what you're going to do in this lab is look through the documentation that's existing there, and you're just gonna be looking through and taking a look to see if anything's missing.
02:06
If there's any mention of antiquated technology in there at all,
02:08
if there's anything missing regarding technology, right, so a lot of companies are doing cloud backups. I notice you're gonna step nine and mention that, right. So the document does mention tape backups. But most organizations are actually using the cloud, right? So cloud storage from various providers, you know, you may have a sure.
02:25
Ah, you may have AWS cloud. You might have Google cloud IBM, et cetera,
02:30
So just make sure your ah, double excuse me. Make sure you're looking at the documentation in the existing B, C, P and G R P. Once you get to that area of this
02:40
and it's make sure that you read through it and check for any outdated stuff, as well as adding in items that are more relevant for these days. So it may not be antiquated technology, but maybe there's some different Burbage or some best practices that are used nowadays that weren't used long ago when this was actually developed,
03:00
and so that way that will allow you to create the best possible BCP NDR piece. So
03:04
that's really all you have to do in this particular lab. You're just gonna look at the existing documentation for the B, C, P and D. R P
03:12
and look and see what's missing, what needs to be added in there and then save those. The other thing that's important for you to do as you do. All of that is make sure you're clicking through on the right side here, checking the boxes as you complete steps throughout this lab to save your progress so you can get full credit for this particular lab.
03:30
So in the last video and in this video, all we did is just cover the labs at kind of a high level. Again, there's a lot of documentation to look through for both of the lab, so make sure you budget that appropriately and many instances is gonna take you several hours to do both of the labs. So just make sure you budget that in your time
03:47
in the next video, we're just gonna go ahead and wrap up the course.
