Introduction

The Manage Provider VDCs module provides you with the instruction and server hardware to develop your hands on skills in the defined topics. This module includes the following exercises:

  1. Create Provider VDCs

  2. Manage Provider VDCs Settings

Exercise 1 - Create Provider VDCs

In this exercise, you will learn the following in vCloud Director:

  • Differentiate between Provider and Organization VDCs
  • Create Organisation VDC
  • Select/Edit Organization VDC resources
  • Select the network pool for certain networks for the Org VDC
  • Enable/Disable an Organization VDC

Exercise 2 - Manage Provider VDCs Settings

In this exercise, you will learn the following in vCloud Director:

  • Configure Low Disk Space Warnings
  • Upgrade/Repair a Provider VDC Host Agent
  • Prepare or Unprepare a Provider VDC Host
  • Select Resource Pools and Datastores for a Provider VDC
