The Configure and verify IPv4 Network Address Translation module provides you with the instructions and Cisco hardware to develop your hands on skills in configuring and verifying the operation of Network Address Translation. This module includes the following exercise:

  1. Configuring the NAT Virtual Interface

Exercise 1 - Configuring the NAT Virtual Interface

In this exercise you will learn how to configure both dynamic and static network address translation (NAT). As you will have learnt in your study material, NAT modifies either the source or destination IP (or both) addresses as a packet traverses a routers interfaces. NAT can help resolve a number of different issues, but it is most commonly used when connecting to the Internet (you will achieve this in exercise 2).
