Cydefe’s assessment ‘Cable Basics’ is a Cybrary assessment intended for students of Beginner/Intermediate level. Cydefe’s assessment ‘Cable Basics’ assesses students understanding of different transmission media, cable standards, cable types, cable speed, and restrictions. Cydefe's assessment of 'Cable Basics' is targeted towards the Network Operations Specialist role. Upon successful completion of Cydefe’s assessment ‘Cable Basics’, the student is certain to have a good understanding of different transmission media, cable standards, cable types, cable speed, and restrictions. Cydefe’s ‘Cable Basics’ takes most students around 1-2 hours to complete.

In Cydefe’s assessment ‘Cable Basics’, students will be assessed on their understanding of Cable connectors (Example: RJ11, RJ45, Transmit and receive pins, etc.).

In Cydefe’s assessment ‘Cable Basics’, students will be assessed on their understanding of cable types (Example: CAT5, CAT6, etc.), cable speed, and restrictions (Example: distances covered and situations for best use).

In Cydefe’s assessment ‘Cable Basics’, students would be assessed on their understanding of Cable standards (Example: 568A wiring scheme).
