Okay, Now we need to look at our update Manager configuration. So Goto home under solutions and applications, we can see update manager.
00:13
Well, then go to the configuration tab.
00:19
You can check our network and activity. You have to make sure that these ports are available
00:24
on the update manager server.
00:28
I basically just disable the firewall for right now, so hopefully that should allow the connections through.
00:35
We have three
00:37
download sources available for all of our patches.
00:42
And what I can do is click download now
00:45
and
00:46
grab the latest patch definitions.
00:52
It'll take a few moments.
00:56
Here we go.
00:59
Ah, that's been completed.
01:03
We can go to the baselines and groups tab
01:07
and see that I've got 281 critical host patches
01:11
and 349 noncritical patches.
01:15
So it's quite a few to choose from.
01:19
Now. I want to create a baseline, so I'll go to my create link
01:23
notice There's a create link under baseline groups. We're just gonna create a baseline for now. So I'll click create
01:30
and will give us the name of
01:33
he has ***.
01:34
I
01:36
host update
01:40
baseline type. We have three choices here. Weaken Do host patches,
01:45
hoax extensions or host upgrades.
01:49
We're going to leave this as a
01:52
host patch
01:55
and we'll go ahead and click next.
02:00
Then we have two choices here.
02:02
Six bass lines
02:05
are the same,
02:06
even if new patches are added,
02:08
which is pretty straightforward.
02:12
And then dynamic baselines get updated once new patches get loaded into the repositories.
02:19
So to keep things simple, we're just going to work with a fixed
02:23
update.
02:24
Now you can see the
02:29
screen to select the patches
02:30
streaming this little bit bigger as we can see everything.
02:36
Okay, so now I'm going to do a search for a patched I'd like to install.
02:40
I want to do the light
02:42
tools update
02:45
and
02:46
make this little bigger so I could make sure I get the right one.
02:49
You can see the product
02:51
is organized by version number
02:53
and 5.5
02:58
is the one that I've got.
03:01
So I've got patches. I've got updates
03:05
various different components here.
03:10
And so I'm going to put this one into my baseline.
03:14
Clicking the down a road puts it in the bottom. So now this is the fixed patch I want to actually add.
03:27
I can
03:28
double check what's in here
03:29
and click finish.
03:37
Look, I've got a connection with her problem connecting with my
03:39
show ever
