The Printing Workbooks and Worksheets module provides you with the instructions and devices to develop your hands on skills. This module includes the following exercises:
- Understand Printing Options
- Understand Options for Saving a Workbook
Lab time: It will take approximately 1 hour to complete this lab.
Exercise 1 - Understand Printing Options
Although we live in a world in which it is very easy to share information electronically, you sometimes need to print your worksheets in order to share hard copies of them. Excel makes it very simple to print the active worksheet with a single click, but also gives you enormous control over how the worksheet prints: titles, headers and footers, scale, print area, gridlines, and more.
Exercise 2 - Understand Options for Saving a Workbook
If you send an Excel 2016 workbook to a user who has Excel 97, she won't be able to open it. Save to an earlier version of Excel when you want to share a workbook with users of those early versions.
Depending on what you did in the workbook, you might get a message about the compatibility of some of the workbook's features with the previous version of Excel. And it's possible that some features you like won't work for the users with whom you share the workbook.
