Now that you've learned all about the BIOS and other system functions, it's important to become intimately familiar with the security capabilities of that system and how to protect it. Did you know you could lock down the BIOS? BIOS security includes passwords where you can, you can apply both a Supervisor and User password, as well as tracking capabilities much like lo-jack called the Persistence Module (PM), you'll learn what it is and how it works. There is also the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) which is a drive encryption function and you'll learn about capability as well, particularly as it relates to new computing systems and additional software tools that partner with the BIOS for enhance security capabilities.
