all right, Now that we've looked at
00:06
all the labs will be doing.
00:08
Let's start out with the requirements for the first lap
00:10
in this lab, you'll be installing the view sphere client on your local workstation.
00:16
So in order to do that,
00:18
you're going to need administrative privileges
00:20
on that machine. But also gonna need the SX I host name or its i p address.
00:26
In addition to that, we need the root password because, of course, we have to
00:30
log into the host with the client. All right, First of all, will you open up a web browser
00:36
and you need to point that to your S X I host
00:40
I p address
00:41
or the the domain name if it's already configured on your domain.
00:51
So in my case, it's 1 90 to 1 68 1 68 100
00:56
You will see a certificate warning.
00:59
Don't be alarmed by this.
01:00
This is because the certificate of self signed and your browser doesn't know about this
01:06
certificate authority that is basically private behind your security perimeter.
01:11
So its safety
01:12
continued to website.
01:15
Now we get to the front door. So to speak of rsx, I host
01:21
we could do a lot of things here. First, we'll start with downloading the V Sphere client.
01:26
So I'm gonna go ahead and save that. That should go to my Downloads folder.
01:32
And this is gonna take awhile. Three minutes, 27 seconds.
01:36
So when situations like this arise during the training, I'll pause the video.
01:40
That way, you're not watching,
01:42
um,
01:42
progress fires be kind of boring.
01:47
Anyway, we can also download the center from this page.
01:49
The documentation is here.
01:53
You can use some of the virtual appliance installers for Windows or Linux
01:57
and some links for developers. If you want to get the software development tool kit
02:04
so pretty useful page.
02:06
I'll go ahead and pause here and will resume once the installer started.
02:14
All right, so I finished. Finished with that long download. I'll open
02:17
Windows Explorer,
02:21
go to my downloads folder.
02:37
Actually, I put it on the desktop already. I forgot about that.
