>> In this module,
00:00
we will discuss the access to the endpoint server,
00:00
managing a simple, easy,
00:00
and possible from any web browser.
00:00
When using the Cloud platform,
00:00
the infinity portal can be used to
00:00
allow a web-based management interface
00:00
with a new design and
00:00
easy access to managing other products.
00:00
Smart endpoint is the classic method of managing
00:00
your endpoint server on on-premise and Cloud solutions.
00:00
Let's see what we can do in the web management tabs.
00:00
This is the Overview page.
00:00
Here we can download
00:00
the initial clients so as to deploy it on our computers,
00:00
we have a good operational overview.
00:00
At a glance, we can see that deployment status,
00:00
anti-malware updates, the encryption status,
00:00
diversion of endpoint,
00:00
and the operating systems.
00:00
Moving to the security overview,
00:00
we can see how many hosts are under attack,
00:00
some great timelines, and more.
00:00
This is the Policy page where
00:00
we will configure the protection behavior,
00:00
which capabilities will be enabled,
00:00
what will be allowed,
00:00
forbidden, and add exclusions when needed.
00:00
By default, my policy is on the computer mode.
00:00
If we select the mixed-mode,
00:00
the display will change and look as follows.
00:00
Notice how I can configure the rule
00:00
by users or computers.
00:00
The difference between the modes can
00:00
be summed up to the question,
00:00
would you like to manage your policy
00:00
based only on computers
00:00
regardless of the user logged in
00:00
or use either users or computers,
00:00
which is what mixed mode means?
00:00
It's up to you. Know this,
00:00
that user configuration will take
00:00
preferences if a conflict arises.
00:00
Under the Computer Management tab,
00:00
you'll be able to see all the devices
00:00
that have the client installed or discovered.
00:00
We can see which capabilities are enabled,
00:00
the version of endpoint and more.
00:00
From this window, you can also submit
00:00
push operations related to a capability
00:00
such as scan or a client related actions
00:00
such as repair or uninstall.
00:00
For example, I'm going to go ahead select one of
00:00
the devices and set up a push operations.
00:00
In this case, I'm going to do a restart computer.
00:00
If you click the table settings right here,
00:00
you'll be able to change
00:00
the column layout and display more information.
00:00
For example, I can select ''Custom'' and
00:00
allow last connection and
00:00
get more information out of my clients.
00:00
From the Logs tab,
00:00
we can view logs related to each capability.
00:00
We can filter and search very easily and intuitively.
00:00
For example, I'm going to go
00:00
ahead and click ''Threat Emulation''.
00:00
What I see now are all of the logs
00:00
related to the threat emulation capability.
00:00
Pretty cool. If you have
00:00
initiated push operations from
00:00
the Computer Management tab,
00:00
you'll be able to see the status right here.
00:00
I can see one requests have been completed,
00:00
another one was sent and another one was just pushed.
00:00
From the endpoint settings,
00:00
you'll be able to configure
00:00
general settings such as the AD scanner,
00:00
licenses, certificates,
00:00
and the policy operation mode where you can
00:00
select to either use computer mode or mixed-mode.
00:00
Finally, the Service Management tab.
00:00
Here you can see the status of your server,
00:00
the hosting side, purpose, and more.
00:00
You'll also find the smart view link right here.
00:00
If you would like to use or already have smart endpoint,
00:00
you'll first have to download this version right here.
00:00
Set up the credentials,
00:00
you can just click this option right here.
00:00
Once the version is downloaded,
00:00
copy this connection token,
00:00
open the smart endpoints,
00:00
enter your credentials,
00:00
and replace the IP with the token you've just
00:00
copied as follows and hit ''Login''.
00:00
Once you're in, you'll be able to manage your endpoints
00:00
server through the smart endpoint console.
00:00
I hope you enjoyed the training.
00:00
See you in the next module.
