welcome the Module three, which is an overview of public cloud providers. A review of their go to market strategies in the road map, where all these public cloud providers going
just to let you know how big and how huge this public cloud spaces in 2019. At the time of this recording, the public art market is projected to be more than $331 billion. And as you can see by these names in their quantity, the public clown's face is more than just a little busy re players we all know about the Big 38 of us.
Microsoft Azure. A Google platform. Gcpd
the 9 p.m. is a big plate of sales. Force is a huge software as a service provider, and there are other emerging visionaries in space, including commentary. Last 13 data centers across four continents. Rackspace, which is another useful cloud computer provided offering service is that coasting five applications, cloud files, backup database
and Liquid Wet, which is a crowd hosting Web platform that can help you build, maintained and manage from a single website. Tow an entire economist suite of Web applications for even the biggest enterprises, lots of players in the space delivering a ton of different platforms and as the service actions on, with a huge amount of cloud revenues in the market,
this module is gonna provide an overview of some of the public clown players like the Big Three. But also, we're gonna spend some time talking about the public clowns, niche players who we see every day in the clown space that bring huge benefits to the enterprise. These niche players that you don't see every day in the headlines but you confined, making a big impact when you start viewing blog's and news feeds.
And when you grabbed that search engine and you do your homework on this thing called the Cloud and want to start talking about
first, this amazing software platform is a service sales force.
Salesforce's a customer relationship management solution. See our EMS like Salesforce and Microsoft dynamic C R E M are integrated platforms that give your organisations departments and business units like sales, marketing and your service teams, a single shared view of every one of your customers and open platforms like Salesforce and Microsoft dynamic C R M
can integrate into your organization's financial and billing software,
your inventory management portals and logistics and your service ticket management platforms, so that even though all your systems are integrated from a back end, your employees only see a tightly integrated front end rather than having to maintain and keep open several different systems on their computers via several different windows and different panes of glass.
So this slide is intended to show one thing. Complexity. In the top left, you're going to see and blew all your back in systems, your databases, your E R P enterprise resource planning systems and your E. R P. And back in databases. All of this can consist of dozens of servers. Then you have your commerce system and you're quoting in building financial software. And then you have to tie all this together
and then in some way present all these disparate systems in such a way
your users aren't spending all of their business day opening and closing software applications and windows just to get data and work with data. So here comes C R M like sales force, which can tie all of this together and give your users and easy button to service your customers. But sales force itself is its own solution and could be several server instances as well.
So now you're adding one more platform to deploy and maintain in your environment just to use and create some flexibility
and how in users can perform their jobs. So now you have this great big frank until a solution that requires a lot of bodies and head count to throw at it just to get all these platforms stood up developers to write and support the AP eyes in the integration hooks. And then let's hope we don't ever have to apply software patches and updates or, heaven forbid,
upgrade this thing to a new major release for a new feature we need.
This stuff can be the source of real nightmares. All of this complexity goes away when I simply just pay for this thing as a service software as a service, and I could just goto work servicing my customers and making money instead of figuring out all these different ways of buying technology and spending my lean I t budget.
Now, maybe you could get the feel of why so many organizations or cloud always and cloud first
so they don't have to go stunt man and try to jump these 100 servers on premise on their motorcycle.
Salesforce's an amazing crn platform and does amazing stuff on premise. But Salesforce software as a service couldn't be easier. Salesforce's of service is one of the most popular and highly rated customer service software solutions on the market. You can support your customers via phone, email, Web chat
and salesforce enables. Agents and customers too quickly connect and solve
the customer problems.
So let's get ready to learn more about the clown players that goto markets and their licensing models, which once you're in the industry a while, well, you're just gonna have to tell yourself how much you really love licensing. And hopefully we'll we'll uncover a few tidbits about the cloud you never knew were out there. I mean, up there, Or maybe over there.
Well, anyway, somewhere else and not down the hall from our office making all that horrible fan noise.
So let's get going with module three. So, until next time, eh? All of the end users on your network be enjoying the service is that you and your I T team are delivering. Take care.
