Okay, so let's have a look at hyper V on a client desktop. So it started with Windows eight s. Oh, it's it's It's a built in component off the professional and enterprise editions off the Windows desktop operating systems. You don't have to pay for it. It's not like you have to kind of get a more Julen install it
the way it works. Basically, you would install it from the optional features section, which I will show you later on how to do that
Very, very simple. Take you literally about 30 seconds to have it fully up and running. It will need a reboot of your PC, though. So if you are intended to do this, do it afterwards of mice will miss out on the course eso Otherwise you have to reboot the machine and you might miss out on something else, but yes, hyper V.
So it has the following limitations. It does require
second level address translation also in a slat hyper V server
only recommends it. So if you're running an actual server for hyper V, you don't have to have second level address translation. What this means is it can actually address different items or memory usage within its own virtualized self. So you have your physical memory, and it kind of allows a virtual machine to plug in
to that memory or whatever it might be.
And if that kind of that slapped system isn't there, it means that that it won't be ableto past data backwards and forwards, and then it will have problems. Hyper V Server has a slightly different architecture, which means it can actually compensate for that if you don't have that system in place. Already,
the client play Pervy also doesn't have clustering or replication. Clustering is where you can put lots of service together so you can't put three Windows 10 machines together, running client hyper V and turn them into a farm that won't work.
it also won't do replication. So if you have, if I have this Windows 10 machine that I'm streaming to, you guys are on, then I have another Windows 10 machine on the other side of the room. I can't replicate my virtual machine over there. They don't have that capability.
I also can't migrate. I can, however, export. So if I want to move a machine from this machine A virtual machines, very from this physical machine to another physical machine. I can export it. It will pause it and save it in that environment that it was at the time of the export on. Then I can

There is one major distinction for hyper V Among hyper desktop piper visors, it is a type one hyper visor, whereas almost all others are type to S O. A type to hyper visor is effectively an application that runs inside your operating system.
It's subject to the same treatment as other operating system. So what this means is
you if you're if you're running a type to hyper visor, it means that that environment, that virtual environment
is going to be treated as if it was just another application like outlook or even, let's say, destiny to that allows the machine to effectively just treat it like an application so it can. It will allocate memory to it. It will manage everything for
a type one will have more control over the actual physical hardware, and it'll be able to request physical hardly to help. It s o. The actual root operating system decides when a type to hyper visor is allowed to access a resource. So if my operating system says no, you're not having it.
