Exercise 1 - Working with Fundamental HTML Tags
Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) is the standard markup language to create structured web pages with formatted text, images, and links. You can develop HTML documents using various HTML elements. HTML tags represent the HTML elements. You can open HTML documents in web browsers. For the purpose of this demonstration, you will be working with HTML5.
You require a code editor to develop HTML documents. For the purpose of this demonstration, you will use Visual Studio Code (VS Code) as the code editor.
Visual Studio Code is a free, cross-platform, lightweight, and powerful source code editor that has built-in support for many programming languages.
In this course, you will learn how to develop a website for a content development company named “Smart Learning Solutions.” The company primarily focuses on delivering content development solutions for educational purposes. The company promotes its brand of online educational courses through their website.
In this exercise, you will perform the following tasks:
