After completing this lab, you will be able to:
- Connect to Win10 and Kali
- Perform dependencies installation
- Configure PAM module and SSH
- Verify of the 2FA authentication
Exam Objectives
The following exam objectives are covered in this lab:
- CAS-003 2.1 Analyze a scenario and integrate network and security components, concepts and architectures to meet security requirement.
- CAS-003 4.4 Given a scenario, implement cryptographic techniques.
Lab Duration
It will take approximately 1 hour to complete this lab.
Exercise 1 - Configure Google Authenticator
Google Authenticator is a very productive application that provides and allows for two-factor authentication (2FA) on a device that you wish to improve the level of security against. It uses the Time-Based One-Time Password Algorithm (TOTP) and HMAC-based One-Time Password Algorithm (HOTP).
The password generated can then be used as an additional requirement to enter through an SSH connection or in fact any type of configuration required.
