- Adding and configuring logging for an ETL Package
Exercise 1 - Creating a Simple ETL Package
In this exercise, you will create a simple ETL package in the SSIS designer. The ETL package extracts data from an OLE DB data source and writes the data to another OLE DB data source.
Exercise 2 - Adding and Configuring Logging for an ETL package
SQL Server Integration Services includes various log providers. These log providers enable you to implement logging in packages, containers, and tasks. Logging enables you to capture run-time information about a package. For example, you can get the name of the operator who ran the package and the duration the package ran.
