The Configure Group Policy settings module provides you with the instruction and server hardware to develop your hands on skills in the defined topics. This module includes the following exercises:

- Configure Property Filters for Administrative Templates
Exercise 1 - Group Policy Software Installation
Windows Server 2012 has basic software deployment infrastructure found in Group Policy Objects. This feature has been around since Windows 2000 Server. Small organisations can use this service in the interim until they find another application that has advanced capabilities like licensing inventory and caching applications before being deployed in a slow network connection.
Exercise 2 - Folder Redirection
Administrators can use Group Policy Objects to centralise user data files in a designated server by using Folder Redirection.
Exercise 3 - Configure Logon Scripts and Administrative Template Settings
Log on scripts that will automatically create a connection to a shared folder and among other things can be configured using Group Policy.
Group Policy use Administrative template to populate policy settings for user and computers. This allows system administrators to manage registry-based policy settings.
Exercise 4 - ADMX Migrator
The ADMX Migrator is a utility developed by FullArmor Corporation and licensed to Microsoft. It gives administrators the flexibility to convert ADM files from earlier Windows versions. The new format called ADMX offers two important benefits: it allows you to create your custom ADMX files and it can convert legacy ADM files into ADMX.
Exercise 5 - Configure Property Filters for Administrative Templates
Group Policy Management Console gives you to capability to change the criteria for displaying Administrative Template policy settings. When creating GPO's, the editor will display all policy settings.
