Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a US Military branch approached Cybrary in search of a partner to provide learning opportunities for its newly remote workforce to replace its in-classroom training. This US military group had a critical need for hands-on learning focused on networking, threat hunting, and cyber threat intelligence.
This effort was to support the onboarding and development of their Cyber Defense Analysts. All content and learning paths needed to be DoD 8140 compliant. The military group also sought to prepare these practitioners for a number of industry certifications, including CySA+, Network+, and Security+, among others.
In order to meet the customer’s needs, multiple Cybrary teams worked to identify learning paths aligned with both the DoD 8140 requirements and requested NIST work roles. The military group was set up with a trial of the Cybrary for Teams platform to utilize and assess these custom-built learning paths. Cybrary also collaborated closely with this military team to define the criteria for measuring content quality and efficacy.
During the trial, the military team leadership determined they had a need for more advanced training content. Cybrary was able to quickly curate the relevant skill level content to facilitate this request, and extended the trial so the customer had sufficient time to assess the learning resources.
Upon completion of the trial phase, Cybrary was able to demonstrate that the Cybrary for Teams platform offered the content, tools, and resources needed to build this military branch’s learning program.
The military group opted to sign on for 60+ licenses for their teams, and worked with their dedicated Cybrary customer success manager to onboard them and create the new custom learning paths to further the required skills development of their staff.
