How to Bypass Website Blocking with a Proxy Server - Cybrary

Usually, when we want to visit a website, we start our browser, type the address of the website in the URL address bar and wait for a response. In the meantime, the browser sends that web address to the local Domain Name Server (DNS) to convert it into respective IP address. The process of converting a website address or domain name into its respective IP address is known as a DNS lookup. Within a few seconds, your browser will get a response back from the DNS server and will connect you to the respective website. However, the problem is that nowadays, most of colleges, companies, and organizations block access to some of the most accessing websites on the Internet by blocking the DNS lookup or specific domains. To understand how to unblock access to these blocked websites, it's first important to understand how your local network administrator is blocking access to your favorite websites.Typically all networks maintain a database or a list of blocked websites. Whenever you types a website address in your browser, that address is compared with the list of blocked websites. If what you type in your browser is found in the blocked list, your access is blocked and you are show the ACCESS DENIED error message. On the other hand, if the URL you typed in your browser is not in the blocked list, you'll be given access to it.Let's assume that there's the particular website that you desperately want to access, but unfortunately, your local network administrator has blocked access to it. This is where something known as HTTP proxy server or web proxy server comes into the picture.A web proxy is a system that is normally accessed by a user with the help of a browser. A web proxy accepts a HTTP request for a specific webpage from a user, processes the request, fetches the required webpage and then displays it immediately back to the user. The firewall or filtering mechanism on the local network of the user thinks the user is merely connecting to the web proxy (which may not have been blocked). But, in reality, the user is using the web proxy to connect to a blocked website. In other words, web proxies are fantastic ways to bypass filters and gain access to blocked websites on the internet.Web proxy servers not only allow users to bypass blocking censors, but they also protect the IP address or identity of the user,  giving them complete anonymity on the internet.  Personally, I use a proxy server to provide surfing anonymity. The only problem with all website proxy servers is they're not free, and ask you to pay around $80 for the service (but it's possible to use a Russian version). Take a look at the websites below. Once you open them, put your a website address in the URL and click the submit button. Now, you may surf anonymously.http://www.domain.com.ext.saariselka.ruhttp://www.anonymizer.ruhttp://www.bypassthat.com"Bypassthat" is another anonymizer proxy that's used to bypass the filters and firewalls."ztunnel" is used to protect your anonymity in the web:http://www.ztunnel.comThis is a nice address for proxy lists: http://proxylist.hidemyass.com/2 To configure your version of Firefox for proxies:

Finally, I want to show you another proxy trick. There are numerous conversion websites available on the Internet that can convert a website into different formats. It's possible to use these websites to access blocked websites on the Internet. For example, there's one website that converts any URL into a PDF format: http://pdfmyurl.com My Regards,HEGA GEOFFROY
