I graduated Howard University with a B.B.A with concentration in Information Systems. Since then I’ve worked for companies such as Sun Microsystems, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman. I also ran my own IT consulting business for 9 years. I have built and led security programs for small and large companies. My specialty within Cybersecurity is Governance Risk and Compliance(GRC), which has led me to pursue a Certificate in Legal Studies with a concentration on Cybersecurity and Data Privacy.
When I started in IT in 1998, there was not a platform like Cybrary. I was one of Cybrary’s early adopters and I thought the platform was great. As I’ve progressed through the years I have always struggled with a structured way to pay it forward and give back. Being a Cybrary instructure allows me to do this. There are so many things that I’ve learned that I can contribute to rising cybersecurity talent. Cybrary’s delivery method is perfect for my style of learning and teaching.
