The Certifications I hold include Certified Information Privacy Professional - US (CIPP/US), GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF), GIAC Law of Data Security and Investigations (GLEG) and Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).

I grew up an Air Force brat, and I obtained by BA from University of Southern California. I then obtained my JD from Western State University College of Law, and an MS from Full Sail University. I have been a licensed attorney for 12 years, but I have been working in risk and compliance for 7 years. I also have multiple certifications because I love learning and growing my knowledge base in my field. In my spare time, I love movies, cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

I’m interested in cybersecurity because of how cybersecurity and privacy intersect. Cybersecurity is necessary to put controls in place to protect the personal data that companies collect from their customers. As we move to the internet to do almost everything from banking to shopping, cybersecurity is more important than ever.
