File Systems
In this hands-on lab, you will be introduced to file systems from the perspective of digital forensics. You will practice by analyzing a file system to identify important pieces of data regarding files of interest.

Course Content
Upon completing this lab, you should be able to:
- Define "file system" and describe its purpose.
- List the most common file system(s) used by major operating systems.
- Access a storage volume using common forensics utilities and identify the file system in use.
- Leverage common forensics utilities to review file system structures and data elements and answer questions about the file system itself, as well as individual files.
