Upon completing this lab, you should be able to:

  • Define "firewall".
  • Identify and describe different types of firewalls.
  • Install a pfSense firewall from from installation media.
  • Configure WAN and LAN interfaces on a pfSense firewall.
  • Navigate key features of a pfSense firewall, including Rules, NAT, Routing, System Logs, and DNS.
  • Configure DHCP for the LAN on a pfSense firewall.
  • Create and test firewall rules on a pfSense firewall.
  • Create a DMZ on a pfSense firewall.
  • Configure NAT on a pfSense firewall.
