Description

This guided challenge is suited for students who are comfortable working with Microsoft Windows operating systems in the command-line interface for the Windows PowerShell. Some background of programming, scripting, system services, and system utilities of Microsoft Windows are resourceful. Guided challenges have specific hints, which offer links to documentation or similar resources. This is a good practice working through a task utilizing your knowledge, skills, talents, expertise, researching skills, and related documentation gaining hands-on experience on the tools and the software used. Lab completion will help students develop skills in configuring the guest environment to develop and deploy scripts to access files using environment variables while also manipulating those variables and assigning values to them for performing calculations too which is essential for the System Administrator work role. You will also develop a solid understanding of the Windows PowerShell Pipelining scripts and using the Default, Environment, and String variables for performing calculations on Windows machines. These are important for the Network Operations Specialist and Network Engineer work roles. This lab is beneficial to students on the System Administrator career path.
