Exercise your problem-solving and creative thinking skills with security-centric puzzles
Gain hands-on experience creating an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) to use as a web server template. Lab activities include: creating a key pair, creating a security group, creating an AMI by using the web server instance, creating an Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) instance by using the custom AMI, and testing the new web server instance.
In this lab, students will create an S3 bucket and then enable cross-region replication (CRR). Students will then add resources to the bucket and verify access to the bucket.
In this challenge, you will create a custom VPC with public and private subnets, and an Internet and NAT Gateway, and then you will associate route tables with the correct subnets.
Learn to make your EC2 instance more resiliant by configuring Elastic Load Balancing for two Amazon EC2 instances. Lab activities include: creating a security group for a load balancer, configuring two EC2 instances as web servers, creating a target group that includes the EC2 instances, and creating a load balancer for the EC2 instances.
Gain hands-on experience configuring CloudWatch to generate an alarm when memory usage reaches a specific level and automatically restart an Amazon EC2 instance. Lab activities include: creating a CloudWatch alarm for memory usage on an EC2 instance, connecting to the console of the EC2 instance, and running a stress test to simulate memory usage.
Assess your knowledge and skills to identify areas for improvement and measure your growth
Gain hands-on experience configuring an Amazon Web Services environment. Lab activities include: creating an Amazon S3 bucket to host a publicly accessible website, building a custom Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) to support public and private workloads, and creating an Amazon EC2 solution by using a custom AMI and a launch template.
