Getting Started with Security and Permissions
In this lab by Learn On Demand Systems, you will configure security and permissions in an Ubuntu Linux environment, perform a port scan of a Linux server, edit the /etc/ssh/sshd_config file to secure SSH access, create an administrative user, create additional groups and add users to the groups, edit the /etc/hosts.allow and the /etc/hosts.deny files to increase security on the Linux server, and use Nmap to verify that the TCP port has been successfully changed.
