Overview

Note: Once you begin the Challenge Lab, you will not be able to pause, save, or exit and then return to your Challenge Lab. Please ensure that you have set aside enough time to complete the Challenge Lab before you start.

Understand the Scenario

You are a VMware NSX® administrator. You need to deploy and configure NSX® in a new environment. First, you will deploy an NSX Manager virtual appliance, and then you will configure the initial settings. Next, you will add an additional NSX Manager node for redundancy, and then you will configure a virtual IP address for the management cluster. Next, you will configure an Identity Source by using Active Directory to define permissions. Finally, you will create Transport Zones, an IP address pool, and then you will prepare the virtualization hosts.

Understand Your Environment

You will be using a vCenter server named vcenter-01.hexelo.com that contains five ESXi™ hosts divided into two clusters, and an NSX Manager virtual appliance named NSXMGR-01.hexelo.com.
