Is there a CEH equivalent certification? Hello, There are certifications that cover similar material yet they are not exactly equal and it is because some certifications meet the DOD 8570 guidelines while other certifications do not meet them. For example, the CEH meets the DOD 8570 but the OSCP does not meet the DOD 8570. However, the OSCP is actually more difficult than the CEH and it is widely recognized by numerous companies in the cybersecurity field. The GPEN is also another certification that covers ethical hacking or penetration testing so it's up to you on which certification to consider and you can't go wrong with either of these when trying to strengthen a resume or increase knowledge base and experience. Thanks for responding and providing this valuable information. Are there other differences between the CEH, OSCP and GPEN? OSCP is hands on. GPEN is facts plus some working knowledge. CEH is more fact based. I have CEH. I attended SANS GPEN course and I am currently working on OSCP. The new SEC560: Network Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking is priced at $5620.00 US - https://www.sans.org/event/pentest2016/course/network-penetration-testing-ethical-hacking -I'll stick with the "no-cost" always free, Cybrary.it Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking training https://www.darkreading.com/risk/10-security-certifications-to-boost-your-career/d/d-id/1322449?image\_number=3
