GDPR - Let's do this...

On May 25th, 2018 a new privacy law goes into effect across the European Union (EU). It is called GDPR or General Data Protection Regulation. Any company that does business in the EU is required to adhere to GDPR. As a cyber security company that has users all over the world, Cybrary working hard to meet compliance by the May 2018 deadline.

What is GDPR?

GDPR is a law that exists to protect the individual from abusive and intrusive practices, both in the information targeted to them, and the information solicited and collected from them. Long story short, GDPR helps keep your personally identifiable information (PII) private and puts regulations in place to make sure you, the individual, have full visibility into how your information and data is being used. How does this affect you?

Cybrary is making updates to the site, so you may notice some informative pop-ups about what we do and updated terms of service and privacy policy. All the Cybrary staff is learning about GDPR and what is expected of us as employees too!The improvements we make are targeted at the protection of EU residents specifically but will improve the handling of information across the company for all website members regardless of location.
