The company offers a wide range of products and services designed to empower people through great software — any time, any place and on any device." - Microsoft NewsWith a great mission that Microsoft has surely lived up to, they - with the help of extraordinary people - pioneered in the creation of Visual Basic (1991 - 2008), integrated digital graphics, Lotus (1988 - 2007), and Reuters among several others. While many of these may now be legacy or reinvented into better products, they paved the way for advancement and growth not only for the tech industry as a whole but for people's lives as well.One of the driving forces behind portable smart devices was Mira, a new set of technology that enabled individuals to experience free mobility with the Windows platform. On January 7, 2002, Microsoft announced that Mira would be released that year to truly fulfill their mission of "empowering people through great software" anywhere and on any device. This concept of empowerment and freedom through technology is a concept that still holds strong 15 years later.This is 2017. We made it this far, but what now? Make today a day in history.
