Windows Features: Sidebar, Compatibility Mode, XP Mode & Easy Transfer

Windows Features: Sidebar, Compatibility Mode, XP Mode & Easy Transfer Our next lesson covers newer Windows Operating System features, Sidebar, Compatibility Mode, XP Mode and Easy Transfer. Well explore the concept behind each feature, contrast their capabilities to historical operations users had in the past and demonstrate why they are no invaluable component of the Windows Operating System system. For example, we explore how interoperability now exists between current and previous versions of Windows applications and why this is mission critical for end users of Microsoft products. Think specific functions of Word 2003 being enabled and/or recognized by Word 365, or what would happen to a document formatted in Word XP (2002) opened today in Word 2013 if Compatibility Mode was not possible.  Think the reluctance of anyone to upgrade their computing systems were it not possible to transfer files to a new computing environment or what happens when that transfer is performed but those files are not recognized or accessible in the new computing environment!  Sounds like World War III…
