Windows 7 OS Features: Starter, Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate & Enterprise Editions

Windows 7 OS Features: Starter, Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate & Enterprise Editions. For our next lesson on operating systems, we introduce you to the Windows 7 series of OS tools.  This series of Windows Operating Systems is the most dynamic and introduces the concept of a “Starter Operating System” with its Starter Edition.  The Starter Edition is a 32 bit OS with only 2G of RAM.  It’s designed for small devices with very basic word processing and web serving needs such as the Netbook class of devices which don’t include CD/DVDs and other similar resources, and we’ll explain why that is. You’ll learn how the Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate and Enterprise Editions deliver broader range of feature and capabilities based upon where and how it’s deployed, support an increased array of devices, and offer varying levels of graphic support such as multiple monitors.  We’ll examine how RAM & storage capacity and other Edition-specific components impact each level of user capability.
