Topologies: HYBRID

HYBRID Lastly, we want to explore Hybrid topology which is when we combine two or more topology types to create a more dynamic network environment. For example, we’ll diagram a BUS topology and link it to a cluster of other computers that form a RING topology to demonstrate what a hybrid would consist of. Hybrids are flexible and expandable, are easier to troubleshoot if integrated well, or complex if not.  They can be more costly simply because of their dynamics. Hybrids can be very appropriate in some settings but they can also be very intricate and complicated to maintain, again depending on how they are configured and integrated and we’ll discuss several examples of what that is so.
