Tasklist Lab (part 1)

Tasklist Lab (part 1) With this lesson we begin our discussion on command line utilities that serve the Windows Operating System and its used for services, resources, and programs on the host system.  Our first utility is the Tasklist function. Tasklist is command utility provides a list of services in use by the host computer.  Its accessed thru the Task Manager, a dialog box interface which list active services, and also provides a number of other lists and monitoring views such as Applications, Performance, Networking. From this lesson you’ll learn how to view a list of active processes, tasks, applications, how to end a process, where to view the list of user processes and much more, AND you’ll learn how to do this locally for the host system as well as for a remote computer, assuming the rights and permissions are granted to do that.
