Router Settings (part 4)

Lastly, we introduce  and explain the concept of QOS which stands for qualify of service.

This is a service that prioritizes service packets so we’ll explain how this works and why it’s needed.  It’s typically more applicable to wireless devices so that they can give the higher level of resources – for example bandwidth — where it’s needed, such as with printers, VOIP, etc.

We’ll discuss how MAC addresses work, explain what port forwarding is, contrast it with port triggering, demonstrate how these process work and examine the importance of why they must be correctly configured.
