Access Control Models

This lesson focuses on access control models. Access control models are a framework that dictates how subjects access objects. They use access control technologies and security mechanisms to enforce the rules and are supported by Access Control Technologies. When decided which model to use, it’s important to take into account both the organization’s business goals as well as their corporate culture. This lesson covers the following models:
  • Discretionary Access Control (DAC)
  • Mandatory Access Control (MAC)
