Networking Tools: Crimper

FacebookTwitterGoogle+LinkedInEmail
Description
In today’s lesson we’re going to compare and contrast different networking tools. We begin with a crimper. A crimper is used to attach terminating end components with their partnering connecting components – think RJ45 cable and cable connector. What we do is diagram how the connections work, what they look like and how they should be configured to match up.  There will be times when you will need to produce your own cable and connections, be it for a repair, or to shorten an installation, regardless you will know how each component is designed and to correctly combine them into one unit.
