MAC Addresses

MAC Addresses This lesson covers Media Access Control (MAC) addresses. These are the physical addresses for our network interface card and are unique worldwide. They have a hexadecimal format and are used in DNS, ARP and DHCP and are part of Layer 2 in the OSI model. MAC addresses allow us to make data link connections as well as point to point connections that are not routed through any router.
