Inkjet Printer: Maintenance Cleaning

Inject printers are much easier to clean and maintain than laser printers, the quality of the print image is an indicator that the toner is getting low and must be changed.

Part of the maintenance for inkjet printers is cleaning print heads and nozzles, they can become clogged and cleaning them is a delicate but specific undertaking.  Some inkjet printers are also self-cleaning which is a task that is process specific, can automatically run or must be manually set to run.

Ink leakage may be an occasional maintenance issues, but depending on the type and nature and level of leakage, it might be more cost effective to replace than to repair.

General cleaning to the inside housing of the printer is also a management maintenance and cleaning task.  Paper dust, shards of paper or other dust and debris can build up over time and thoroughly cleaning out the inside will keep the inkjet running smoothly, and keep the components from getting damaged.
