Fans

Computers get very hot, the faster components and other parts run, the more heat is generated.

Computing devices hate heat, and they hate extreme or dramatic changes in temperature. To minimize these fluctuations and keep computers as cool as possible, there are fans in computing system.

In this lesson, we’ll open up a computer and demonstrate the location of a fan and how it works to keep its computers components cool.

You’ll learn about the importance of keeping its ports free of clutter and unblocked, and why dust and heat as well as moisture are the prime enemies of any type of computing device.  We’ll show and explain the difference between a cooling plate and an additional fan plate, and the various types of connectors fans have.

We’ll provide you with several troubleshooting insights to help minimize overheating and repair remedies with your first line causes have been ruled out.
